Moo Jie Ying (Debbie)

Moo Jie Ying (Debbie) is a Legal Associate at Messrs. Yeoh Shim Siow & Lay Kuan. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London in 2023, followed by the Certificate in Legal Practice in 2024, and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October 2025.

Debbie first gained exposure to litigation during her internship at a law firm, which sparked her initial interest in dispute resolution work. She later interned at a fintech company and a multinational corporation, experiences that further solidified her passion for pursuing a career in litigation.

She completed her pupillage at Messrs. Xavier & Koh Partnership under the firm’s Litigation Department, where she received structured training in various aspects of dispute resolution. Upon completing her pupillage, she joined Messrs. Yeoh Shim Siow & Lay Kuan as a Legal Associate.

Her practice comprises general litigation, where she provides legal support in matters involving debt recovery, civil disputes, and landlord–tenant issues.
