Founded in 2019, Messrs. Yeoh Shim Siow & Lay Kuan (YSLK) has swiftly emerged as a respected name in Malaysia’s legal landscape. The firm began its journey as Messrs. Lay Kuan & Co., under the leadership of our Managing Partner, Tan Lay Kuan. In 2020, recognising the opportunity to build a broader and more dynamic practice, the firm strategically merged with three other founding partners—Andy Yeoh Tze-Hwa, Shim De Zhen, and Greyson Siow Wai Pin—forming the current structure.

Starting with a close-knit team of 13 dedicated professionals, comprising both lawyers and supporting staff, YSLK has consistently demonstrated a commitment to strategic growth and excellence. By 2024, we will have doubled, reinforcing our standing as a forward-thinking, client-centric firm.

YSLK is on course to achieving its ambitious goal of expanding to a 50-member team within the next five years. Our 2024 expansion blueprint laid the foundation for establishing a presence in key financial hubs, including Penang, Johor, and strengthening our base in Kuala Lumpur. Beyond Malaysia, we are actively exploring international opportunities to further enhance our service offerings and competitiveness on a global stage.
