Siow Wai Pin (Greyson)

Partner

Mr. Siow Wai Pin, better known as Greyson, is a founding partner of Messrs Yeoh Shim Siow & Lay Kuan. While his core focus is on real estate transactions, he also plays an active role in advising clients on corporate and commercial legal matters, bringing to the table a deep understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape in Malaysia.

Greyson possesses extensive experience in all facets of real estate transactions, including property acquisitions and disposals, leasing and tenancy arrangements, as well as financing and refinancing exercises. He has acted for a wide range of clients, including individual purchasers, property developers, financial institutions, and corporate entities, in handling a broad spectrum of property-related matters.

His practice covers the full lifecycle of real estate transactions involving residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Greyson is frequently retained to advise on and oversee the negotiation, documentation, and completion of sale and purchase agreements, loan and facility agreements, refinancing structures, perfection of transfer and charge, tenancy agreements, and regulatory applications with land offices and other authorities. His in-depth knowledge and practical approach ensure that transactions are executed efficiently, with full compliance with legal and procedural requirements.

Greyson is a qualified Company Secretary and a registered Trademark Agent under the Malaysian Intellectual Property Corporation (MyIPO), and he frequently advises on brand protection strategies. He has been appointed as the National Liaison Officer (Malaysia) for the China-ASEAN Legal Cooperation Centre, a platform that promotes regional legal collaboration and exchange between China and ASEAN member states.

He is also highly experienced in banking and housing loan documentation, particularly with respect to financial institutions such as Ambank, Public Bank, UOB, Hong Leong Bank, and OCBC Bank, where his firm is appointed as an ad hoc panel solicitor. His familiarity with the internal processes and requirements of these banks enables him to provide efficient and seamless services to clients involved in bank-financed transactions.

Prior to co-founding Messrs Yeoh Shim Siow & Lay Kuan, Greyson was a partner at Messrs Ismail Sabri Wee & Wong, where he led the Conveyancing Department and gained invaluable experience handling a wide range of complex legal matters.
