Kum Hui Min (Amber)

Ms. Kum Hui Min (Amber) is a legal associate of the firm practising under the Litigation department.

Hui Min graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London in 2018 and thereafter obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP). She then commenced her pupillage at Messrs Yeoh Shim Siow & Lay Kuan where she was mainly involved in disputes resolution with hands-on experience in civil and commercial litigation.

Prior to her pupillage, Hui Min had an extensive experience as paralegal at Messrs Ismail Sabri Wee & Wong and subsequently Messrs Yeoh Shim Siow & Lay Kuan, where she actively assisted the partners and associates in handling both contested and non-contested litigation cases.

Upon completion of her pupillage, Hui Min was retained as Legal Associate in this firm whereby she continues to handle and be involved in a more diversified area of litigation practice including but not limited to commercial law, family law, intellectual property law, defamation law, probate & administration of estates, debt recovery, tenancy disputes, bankruptcy proceeding, contested corporate insolvency and other enforcement proceedings.

Hui Min is also a qualified Trademark Agent under the Malaysian Intellectual Property Office (MyIPO). She specializes in intellectual property protection such as registration of trademarks including but not limited to providing legal advice in respect of trademark registration, contesting unlawful trademark registration, resisting trademark oppositions, appealing against the objections raised by the Registrar and attending to the relevant administrative procedures.
